Step 1: Check the admission requirements
Before you apply, make sure you understand the admission requirements for your chosen program.
You’ll need to meet the University’s general admission requirements, as well as any program-specific requirements that apply. These may include:
- a minimum selection rank;
- subject prerequisites;
- English language requirements; and
- additional selection criteria, such as a supplementary form.
Check Programs and Courses for the admission requirements specific to your chosen program.

Step 2: Choose the correct application portal
Domestic undergraduate applicants can apply to ANU through two application portals. Make sure you choose the portal that applies to you.
Admission, Scholarship and Accommodation (ASA) Early Entry - The ASA Early Entry application portal is for applicants who:
- are completing an Australian Year 12 qualification in the year before they intend to commence at ANU; or
- are completing the November-session International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma; and
- have completed the relevant Year 11 studies required for assessment.
ASA Early Entry allows eligible applicants to apply for admission, scholarships and campus accommodation in one application.
Check the ASA Early Entry eligibility requirements and key dates before applying.
Step 3: Start your application
Once you find the correct portal, you can begin your application process by registering. Each portal has its own unique application process.
For the ASA Early Entry Application, you can find more information about the application process by clicking here.
For the UAC application process, please click here. UAC applicants who would like to apply for accommodation and scholarships are required to submit separate applications.
Step 4: Submitting your application
The application deadlines vary between portals. Please ensure you submit the application by the specified deadline.
For the ASA Early Entry Application, please click here to see the timeline.
UAC Application deadlines depend on the offer round. ANU only participates in selected offer rounds each intake. To find out the selected offer rounds for your intake, please refer to the institutions participating in offer rounds webpage. For specific deadlines, refer to the UAC key dates webpage UAC key dates webpage.
Step 5: Receiving an offer
If your application is successful, you will receive an offer directly from ANU or UAC, depending on your application portal. You have the option to accept, defer, or decline your offer.
