Overview

Fenner Hall, in the heart of the Kambri precinct on the gorgeous Acton campus, is just a stone's throw away from cafes and eateries, playing fields, medical facilities, Galleries, Theatres, a bookshop, gyms, a swimming pool, and central teaching facilities and services. We share a courtyard with the Cultural Centre in Kambri and along the other side is the gently flowing Sullivan's (Sullies) Creek.

The Fenner Hall community prides itself on being inclusive, and guided by values of independence, respect, curiosity and doing things just a little bit differently. Residents come from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. As one of the first halls on campus to have student leaders and staff trained in Restorative Practice, the Fenner community and spirit is created and nurtured by thoughtful and passionate advocates, through the intentional and mindful practice of residents, and a desire to implement ongoing positive change for our residents who come from around Australia and the world.

Fenner Hall provides communal cooking, dining, laundry, study and social spaces for residents, along with the opportunity to participate in a huge range of in-house and inter-hall sporting, arts, sustainability and social events carefully curated by the student leadership teams throughout the year. From the moment you step inside at Fenner it feels like home.

Accessibility

Fenner Hall has relatively easy access to public transport, and is in the centre of campus with solid pathways surrounding it. We are a self-catered hall with one kitchen bay designed for access for a wheelchair user. Some spaces throughout the building are designated for quiet study, and we are in close proximity to shops and libraries. We have a number of bedrooms specifically catering for accessibility needs, and our corridors are wide. We have our own outdoor enclosed terrace which overlooks Kambri.
